Hi everyone,
First time poster but long time lurker on these blogs! After many years of looking I've finally decided to purchase a Geophysic True Seconds in steel.
I've just taken delivery from Watchfinder, had a really good experience with them and the watch is stunning. However after about 15 mins I realised that the "Geophysic True Seconds" text was missing from the lower part of the dial.
Just received a call from them today and the very helpful sales guy explained that the watch model was produced from around 2015 to around end of 2018. In 2018 for either the last year (or possibly the final production run/batch) they got a revised dial with no model text. This was news to me and in all my years of looking on Chrono 24, Watchfinder and other places, I've never seen a dial without the text.
They can swap it out for a 2015 model which does have the text. It doesn’t bother me too much and I love a clean crisp dial as an owner of a Sub No-date and White Milguass.
So is this something that JLC have done in the past and does anyone know when they started doing this on the Geophysic line? Have they done this in the past with other models?
Thanks
G
