Datograph under a microscope...

 

First couple of shots with the Nanoha 4~5x "microscopic" lens, on a Sony A7R. At the higher magnification (5x) the lens actually covers the full frame sensor - which was a pleasant surprise! I was expecting it to have a much smaller image circle for APS-C sensor use. Still learning how to best use this thing... even at f/32 it's hard to get the right focus (and parallel plane of focus) and even then the depth of field is so shallow...

Unfortunately here I think the camera out-resolves the lens on a pixel level, but hopefully as my technique gets better over time and I can get away with f/16 or f/22 to get sharper images out of the lens combined with focus stacking.
