Maison 1505 P01 , my first project and adventure

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : November 22nd, 2020-03:52
A group of watch connoisseurs driven by passion and enthusiasm to develop and acquire a unique mechanical timepiece that echoes their collective passion to excellence and Haute Horologie. Maison 1505 an ode to the year when the first mechanical clock was ...

Better in every way, much more legible.

Also like the bezel shape, it slides much better under the sleeve, unlike the barrel shape of the AP.

Influence isn’t a bad thing

How many big brands used the corne divache lugs, tear drop lugs and so on How many had the same cushion shape, or layout of movement Influence of design is part of the industry since a very long time Yes we were influenced by the CODE but we did add our t...

well, sorry, this is just my view. In this view, the cues are too obvious at that time. For me, this is copy paste, and that‘s just not my thing... 🤷🏼‍♂️

If someone copies the Rolex style, that‘s ok, because it is the style of the 50-ties and in the common watch-hertiage space. Code 11.59 is a new different design. Some will think you just want to ride the wave that AP generated... As mentioned and general...

Beautiful and practical!

Similar to the Code skeleton Tourbillon, but I’m enjoying the practicality of a titanium case and the 5ATM resistance. How’s the shock absorption properties? Cheers and exciting work! Peter

Mo, thanks for sharing.

The watch itself may not be my thing, in terms of aesthetic etc but that’s not important. Congrats on what sounds like a fun project, looking forward to seeing the prototype and ultimately the wrist shots. Question for you, can you tell us more about the ...

Thank you Jay ,

It started from a WhatsApp group actually A group of like minded collectors from the GCC region and the idea popped up to do something special just for us I took the lead on this and started reaching out to manufacturers for movements And since I had firs...

That’s really cool, a proper passion project.

When you get the “agengraphe” in the pipeline let me know ! That’s a beast I think I’d be interested in. Best of luck with this adventure. Hopefully by the time 02 and 03 are in the making we will all be able to see them in the metal.

I find it very attractive and sexy!

The skeletonized lugs are also beautiful and match the movement perfectly. Blue strap matching the blue accent is also top notch Is it gonna be natural colored titanium or some PVD/DLC coating? I kinda prefer titanium color for sure Would have preferred a...

Looks interesting and wish you the best

Especially since it won’t be long, if it’s a commercial project, until AP will sue you. It looks very much like their current lineup with the case design and skeletonized movement.

Great watch

you developed Mohannad. What i like about your Maison 1505 is to keep it simple. Open and fresh. No overkill with crowns and pushers.

Hi Mo - like the watch, if I could change two things...

1. The hand set: I'm not sure exactly what would work best but I'd still be inclined to play with not only styles and finishes (brushed vs. polished) but even try some colours (blued hands, etc).. 2. On a tourbillion, I always like for one part of the tou...
