I especially like the evolution of the hide pattern as it moves out distally from the case.

It looks ok, but the Dato is such a strong design I would let the strap allow the watch itself to be the focus.

One would opt for more plain strap with less texture change; Like a simpler black/grey nubuck gator… LOL but I already know that would look good.

I’m not sure if the original Dato has ever been better paired.

Than with the brown IWC Santoni strap that Edwin initially paired it with. So I am extremely biased. It’s either that or the original grey black for me. But I’m a creature of habit. ...

I love the idea of an ostrich but to be honest, I'm not entirely convinced by this black/blue match...It's clearly good quality stuff though, so the important thing is that YOU enjoy the combination! ;-) Cheers.

I think it works but if you have a wrist shot it would be easier to assess - always find wrist shot sometime give a better view of what of strap provides...but looks very good in static view
