. . . it boiled down to my perception of its case design . . . a little more angularity and matte surfacing, and it probably would've passed muster. The movement view was the whole shebang; the rest, uninspiring.
Funny thing is, it's roughly the same dimensionally and proportionally as the Flightmaster, yet it seems unwieldy on the wrist, which the 910 decidedly does not. I so wanted to like the 222; it's the only watch in my experience that came with high expectations, yet managed to fall off the charts quickly. There have been others that were deeply desired before acquisition and interest subsequently dissipated, but the RGM evinced an almost a ballistic emotional trajectory.
