My favourite watches are the Rolex Prince and the bubbleback from the early period. During the late 80s-90s, the Rolex sports watches were worthless and many collectors were going for the real vintage pieces. During weekend, we would gather at the old coffee shops where dealers from overseas will come and sell watches in bulk. Very often, one has very little time to think and one will have to take the watches and negotiate with the dealers on the spot cash payment. During these period where there is no ebay, watch prices were depending on the number of parties interested in getting the watches, making real bargain possible for those with a sharp eyes or with knowledge.
