The coating on the 35 is quite vulnerable. It does scratch and when it does you'll need to send for recoating.

that can recoat the composite layer on the RM35, maybe 219/Andrew can chime in on this matter. I can't elaborate further on how strong the coating on the RM35 is, as i didnt experiment much with mine. I dont think it is no much harder than regular steel. ...

Would you be able to share some pics of the case? I am quite anxious to see how scratches and the discoloration look like. If its hardly noticeable I think I'll be able to live with it. I am wondering how much is the recoating worth? If you have any idea....
