At that entry point

(i.e. the cost of the watch) you had better be completely entranced by the timepiece  in question! Even if one has “unlimited” resources, that’s a lot of money being spent. I am a Patek guy through and through. Mille is a different statement altogether. Really consider this purchase. Get the most for your money!

Hello dears .. I hope you all doing great. I am seeking your advice on RM 30 titan before I buy it.. what do u think of this peice ? I am more of patek guy but I want to try RM. I like the spor tiness of it. My expertise on RM is close to minimum. I am pl...

RM

I am a Patek snob. Most vintage Patek. I noticed that I had many watches that I was not wearing. I have watched RM for several years and thought this is a watch that I could wear. So about 8 months ago I sold 4 vintage Pateks I was not wearing and bought ...

RM030

Love my Ti RM030. Had it since 2016 and it’s one of the few watches that gets pretty constant wear. It’s about due for a service now and I’m going to miss it.

Personally, "trying to like" is not a good reason to buy a watch unless you have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket...

I find no attraction in Richard Mille products and to me they're Hublot-esque and rather grotesque. But people can like what they like, it just seems like you're trying too hard to like them. Good luck in your decision.

I am a Patek admirer as well .. it will always be a priority for me. But i really dont understand what happening with the brand. The market is going crazy for Patek, specifically for nautilus. Its a sick feeling when u get to buy a grand complication and ...

Thank you ..

I understand you, but they have built a name in no time, for sure there are good reasons for that. I usually do not judge except after i try the time piece my self. it ticked a lot of boxes for me. I wouldn't go for any RM, i want to go for the one that h...

RM has started 20 years ago or something

By: piccolochimico (aka dsgalaxy1) : October 12th, 2019-09:29
but until 2012 only few brave collectors chose to buy it. They were discounted, underestimated (Giulio Papi is the watchmaker behind) and hard to spot. Nowadays actors, football players, billionaires etc desperately seek them and are happy to pay extra mo...

Totally different approach

You have Pateks, go for a RM now. I would prefer one of these more colorful RM030. Own a RM028 all black and love it. I would never meet someone with the same watch.

Agree 100%

More colors means more money friend .. I am trying to find the most balanced one vs value. I have the option to go for the 11-02 Titan dual time, but its way more expensive. RM 30 does it for me for now. lets see ..

Like the 011 very much too.

I took my 028 to the factory in Switzerland for the first (free) service after 3 years. Could pick my watch few weeks later on my way to holidays in France. Perfect service and very kind people there.

An attractive RM!

The one thing you have to be OK about with RM is that the ratio of what you will be paying for the watch compared to what it cost to make is probably the highest of any brand. There will be many alternatives in its price range with better finishing, more ...

Yeah you are right ..

By: ksharif99 : October 12th, 2019-11:17
But sometimes there are more than these .. the hype of the brand and the successful model they created makes you wanting to be part of it. Its a beautiful lively sporty watch, that really made an impact on the industry. I dont see a reason why they wont c...

I'm also very much a "Patek guy", but don't rule out owing a RM in the future, as they are very different and in many aspects complimentary brands...

So if this specific RM looks special enough to you for whatever reason -- and it is a very interesting piece! -- I'd just go for it without any worries;-) Cheers.

Yes

Thanks for your comments .. This is exactly how i feel. Its just a new brand for me and i am happy i came to the forum asking you guys.

Maybe “vintage” RM?

By: Fjan : October 12th, 2019-13:07
IMHO since you are from pp, if you want the good RM to start with, may I suggest the RM005. The 005 slightly smaller much lower profile and sit /fit amazingly well. The 5 oozes all the right techy RM forte yet it is not too loud. Added feature is 100m wat...

Thanks ..

I checked it .. Good option to try the brand at its price point. But, its not available. Availability is key for this brand as i prefer getting it from an RM boutique.

I know how u feel .

I am also a Patek fan but took the plunge and bought an RM11-03 titanium a week ago. I haven’t been able to take it of the wrist. As big and thick as the watch is it wraps around the wrist perfectly and I can see it getting a lot of wrist time. Good luck ...
