I can well imagine the light and shadow under the spreading oaks of Charleston... and why the scene just screams to be photographed. Lovely composition, and I like the detail in the tree camera right. Out of the many different exposures and processing possibilities you seem to have found one that resonates.
Kodak Plus-X and 25mm Biogon vs. alternative equipment (and/or processing techniques)... one has to wonder. There is not "one size fits all" here, but it's an interesting thought to consider how different photographers and/or equipment would approach the same scene ; )
The posted photo does have the consistency of that "Jeff-ish" look and feel...
Love it,
Casey

I spent some time there with my family last week taking in the history and some lovely views. I'll head back soon. For this trip I took my little Leica and some expired Kodak Plus-X. Good fun. Cheers, Jeff ...
Thanks! It's an M3.

I was using a 25mm Biogon, which I like a lot.

The photography decision for this trip was simple because I knew it would be hot and bright and I wouldn't want to lug around heavy gear. Lightness and simplicity carried the day (the 25mm was the only lens I brought) and slow film made sense too. I would...

Traveling with just a 25mm... certainly I have traveled with one lens (a 28mm for example) but for a longer trip I normally take a couple of primes. I was in Tokyo for a few days and picked up my EF 100 f/2.8 Macro to use with the Canon 5DII having realiz...
