I spent some time there with my family last week taking in the history and some lovely views.  I'll head back soon.  For this trip I took my little Leica and some expired Kodak Plus-X.  Good fun.

I was using a 25mm Biogon, which I like a lot.

I can well imagine the light and shadow under the spreading oaks of Charleston... and why the scene just screams to be photographed. Lovely composition, and I like the detail in the tree camera right. Out of the many different exposures and processing pos...

Traveling with just a 25mm... certainly I have traveled with one lens (a 28mm for example) but for a longer trip I normally take a couple of primes. I was in Tokyo for a few days and picked up my EF 100 f/2.8 Macro to use with the Canon 5DII having realiz...
