Well, this is always a tricky subject Miles

Is evolution done the right way or not, the sizes also are a subjective matter etc...
Hence, it is very difficult to consider if something is really a mistake or if it is just something we don't like because it is not our taste. Some people don't like Salmon dials and blackened elements, other don't like coloured metals etc...
From the people I could talk too today and read from, it seems that there is quite a good feeling about the new collection. I will talk about it concerning the 5320 a little later for instance.
However, I can totally understand you feeling as well but different type of generations, people from different origins may have a very different opinion on what you feel is bad and what you feel is perfect.
It is quite a tricky work to manage when owning a company based on aesthetical work.
I also love the 5960s in Pt or the 5110 and 5070 or 5970 we read a lot about. But I see a lot of beauty in different ways for the 5230, the 5930, the 5320 or the 5170P... And one of he watch I wear a lot is also my Speedmaster Mark IV :p
But, I totally understand your feelings and first impressions. This is the kind of questions I ask myself as well. We can't like everything because everything can't be launched following our own tastes. In the mean time, when I see something that doesn't meet my expectations, does it mean that it won't work after a while? Not because I'm used to seomthing "average" but because I finally come to understand it and maybe, after a few years, love it?
So many times I saw people loving the watches I didn't but knew they were good, just not my taste. Or the sizes I though would never worked but read about many people saying "at last, the thing that I couldn't find". Of course, even the bad things can be liked by someone but we often learn that we maybe had a biased interpretation.
What I do personally is trying to remain open to a wider offer and, let time go. After a while I know what really doesn't work and what finally does perfectly.
Thank you for sharing your first impressions Miles, it is interesting to know how people feel, in good or bad, and please share your thoughts again in the future if you see things differently
Best, Mark
