Naturally I love them equally but deep down inside I admire each differently. R: Connects with me because the map has Asia and the colors on the enamel dial complements the rose case very well and as a result my heart is warmed. G: Also connects with me b...
it would be the 5131P but with a leather strap so that it is lighter to wear. I love the white areas on the dial which far exceeds that on the G and R. But you know my personal favourite is still the 5575G
love for 5575 ! LOL !! BTW, my R enamel dial with icy white areas looks really โcoolโ. Without the white, the dial would not have the accentuation which rounds it out well.
all having a piece of Asia I suppose... but now a J would make a full set! now the hard part is choosing which one to wear I suppose... congrats again!
On the other hand Iโm starting to look around for options for the 5231 now, like I guess many of us here. Iโll be very curious to hear if anyone has some info to share on the possible dials, I have not heard anything official yet ๐
๐๐. I tell you what, get the J and then we will get together with your four 5131s and my four 5970s and we can have a serious shootout and come up with a definitive view of the best metal for each model. Not sure I will have all four 5070s in time to add ...
The P & G are my favorite because Iโm with Nicolas, a white metal guys. If I had to choose only 1, then it would be the P. Same with Sham1โs opinion, the P with leather strap would be a fantastic combo ๐๐๐๐พ Thanks for sharing those superb pics ๐๐พ๐๐พ Ch...
The R is gorgeous and extremely charming, but I wouldn't wear it very often. One day I will get a watch in R, and the 5131 would be a perfect one. Maybe a 5231 ๐
I'm not a collector but just a watch lover, and I like certain diversity in my stable. Owning a 5110G, 5231G could be redundant (I know, not really, but kind of). Maybe 5231R could be a better complement. The only 'con' I see is that I don't like yellow g...
an interesting comparison! On the rotor for an enamel worldtime, IMO this is a non-issue because I am forever staring in the front and admiring the enamel map & its contrast with the case. The back can be shut with a lid and I would not mind. LOL !
Certainly everyone one is entitled to their opinion and I respect your decision based on your taste. I usually like to match metals ... belt buckle, watch case, ring ... etc, but the Rose/Yellow mismatch that occurs in some Patek references has never both...
But to me yellow rotors inside rose cases means "no go". Other combos don't bother me that much, but this specific one does. Don't get me wrong, it's just a very personal feeling, but it makes me think of a sort of "collage" watch. At this level, I would ...
Amazing pieces Gordon. From the pictures I agree with the feel that each dial and metal gives and having recently handled an R, I would say the G or the R would be the first piece I would hunt for budget permitting. Wear them in good health my friend.
character and once you start playing with strap colors the differences in character become more pronounced. I have 2 questions for you: How do you feel about the bracelet on the P? And would you consider removing the bracelet and putting on a strap? Best,...
heft of the bracelet and have considered using a strap but just have not gotten around to it. IMO the P would look wonderful on different color straps and they would bring fantastic new looks to it.
congratulations, dear Gordon, my enameled friend ๐ what a post! They are absolutely stunning. I dont feel qualified to Pick a favorite, but im hopping You will show the, when I see you in HK. They are simply gorgeous, all three!
Right now it looks like it will be in the autumn, but I have a meeting in a few weeks where it will most likely be scheduled. I will drop you a pm as soon as I have something. I really look forward to out GTG my friend.
