Thanks. And that guilloche dial is what first caught my eye.

I also tried to find more info on it. The PP experts might be able to help. What I know is it's a PP 5022R-001 (R for RG). Made from 1997 until 2003. Manual-wind caliber 215 PS (I believe PS because of the small seconds). It came in 3 golds + platinum. Not all of the 5022 models have the guilloche dial. What I have learned from searching for older watches is many don't have the Certificate of Origin. That was harder than finding this actual watch. (The same applies to any brand of older watches, by the way). I am happy to have found this one. It's still on my writst today too.

Sparkling older Calatrava joins my collection

Being a Patek fan, I owned 1 Aquanaut and 2 World Time over the years. I still own a 5711. One day I decided that my collection couldn’t live without another PP, so I started searching for a Calatrava, one that is easy to tell the time, has out-of-the-ord...

I love it!

The dial color, the size, the guilloche, even the Roman's (usually not my first choice) great find

Thanks. It's not a common dial.

I think this is my only watch with Romans, but I think the shinny, applied RG Romans add a nice touch on this one..

I think this is my first watch with Romans

I wanted something a little different than my big watches, and a little retro look too.

Congratulations!

Indeed 33mm it a a very acceptable and good looking size for a beautiful dress watch like yours! I even go to 31mm sometimes. Best. René ...

It's fun to experiment with different sizes and styles.

If that lovely JLC (I think) is a 31mm, it's a great size for your wrist. Also very simply but elegant.

Thank you Ron

It is in fact a JLC, which I fortunately found and enjoy so much. Best. René

I started to look for one. No luck so far

Ahh, it is a beauty and I hope you can find one.

There are hundreds of Calatravas if you do a search on Google, but this one is not very common to begin with, although a few showed up online here on in Japan. Unfortunately, most were either sold out already or did not come with papers. So I had to keep ...

love it.
