other than myself I don't think anyone can tell without a close examination. Gator is nice, but you're right, costly. My TAG came on an alligator strap, I love it but my opt for something different when replacement time comes. Ostrich is tempting.
I actually don’t like it. Too many knots in the strap. Straight calfskin is my favorite but also depends on the watch . And yes you are right- I guarantee no one will tell that this is not real croc. Being 1/2 the cost means I can buy twice the straps.
