I think the most important question Gordon

is if have you been able to place an order for any of the enamelled beauties? I am particularly partial to the enamelling on the pocket watches which chosen scenaries and pictures are so relevant to the USA.
I trust the trip to New York was more than worthwhile!
Take care.

In the past, I haven't seen many enamel dials that appeal to me as much. I like the design type (it looks very 1920's-1930's to me) and the way the colors appear. You're very lucky to have yours as it is not every dial that are prepared by Anita Porchet. ...
Thanks for posting these Gordon.

Your Simba and these are absolute beauties. To be honest I was never super fond of enamel art pieces but they are growing on me quite a lot!!

Stunning pieces, Gordon. The artistry is incredible. The Cityscape pieces and your Simba are simply phenomenal! Thanks for sharing
Bounce781, you are welcome !

The city landscape is actually a hand enamel painting done by Anita Porchet. This lady is a multi-talented enamel artist! Cheers, Gordon

Instead of initials of the enamel artist written on the rim of the dial, I would like to see them hidden somewhere integrated in the enamel drawing. That would be a nice wink for both the owner and the enamel artist no? Best wishes Alkiro
interesting!

Is she the one also doing the enamel work for the 5131? There is another master enamel maker, Ms. Suzanne Rohr, it seems she is the best? Benz
5131 is considered run of the mill enamel

AP only works on the rare and exclusive special edition pieces (MSRP 100k+), while Suzanne Rohr only works on the even more expensive pocket watch, which supposedly only one or two per year, and like GLau said, she is almost retired. Thierry Stern has sai...

But simply saying from technical point of view, cloisonné is the lowest ladder in enamel. It is the easiest to mass produce, where as Suzanne Rohr's traditional Geneva methods takes much more work and hence she can only produce so few even when she was yo...

On the net but I forgot where. Basically cloisonné enamelling is the easiest to mass produce because you can form a production line for this kind of enameling. The “cloisons” refer to the wires that the enamellist bends into shape and attaches onto a base...

Yes I tend to agree Gordon

Even if I had a chance to buy one of these enamel pieces, they would seem irrelevant to me. I mean I could have bought one of the London skyline two years ago and even gave that a miss. And yes you are the collector of the lion I can see from the Patek an...
