By resting the watch on the crown the case cannot get scratches or other traces of wear. Also my PP AD informed me to do so. And, if I remember correctly, some time ago it was mentioned in the PP magazine. I rest all my watches like that when they are awa...

Patek has serviced about 20 of my watches and in each and every case the crown has been changed. Now, why on earth would you forget the crown up? Best, Kari

Seriously: my automatic watches are in winders and they normally are keeping time well - so no opening the crown. With manual watches I normally give first some 10 rounds, then adjust the time and finally wind the watch to the end. So no space for mistake...

The hands and the markers. Something that I like in my watches is when they have functions that I find usefull, like the PR indicator and a AC or PC (and auto :p ). This is a beauty and it indeed deserves a "A" sit Have a nice travel Chim. Best, Mark

Is apparently from days of sea travel from U.K. To the jewel of empire, India: Port Out, Starboard Home. So it is 1A on the plane there, and 1K for the way back. In Patek terms, crown down on the way crown up on the way back. Thanks all for your kind comm...
