Big disappointerment for me

I am sure Lange and PP won't do this.
Although it does make sense commercially for Richemont to use Montblanc to roll out smart watches (they already did with their smart augmented paper last year), I agree for the general lower priced Montblanc products and watches.
Having the 1858 Tachymeter design on this smart watch dial unfortunately gives me the impression of "cheapening" their Villeret movements, specifically the Chronographs and even more specifically calibre 16.29.
Those who read my posts earlier will know my angst about how Montblanc subtly and quietly removed their own imposed rule set a few years ago on a production limitation of 288 lots per Villeret movement including the simple time only, detour-a-zero and Chronographs 16.29 and 13.21. This move made things worse. I can now pay to commission Montblanc to customise a "smart watch " dial with the Villeret Exo-Tourbillon Split Seconds chrono dial design as well with "smart enamel dial"??
Thanks Montblanc but no thanks. I will stick to my other favorite haute horology brands now like Lange and the independents.
Cheers
Robin
