Yes, but it was not a super short LE, like the Reverso Green ( 26 pieces, if I remember correctly ). [nt]

Jaeger Lecoultre Tribute to Reverso or Grande Reverso Ultra Thin, a saga and some thoughts.

 By: amanico : May 14th, 2017-07:35
One of the highlights from the 2011 collection certainly was the Tribute to Reverso 1931. We tend to forget the rose gold version which was introduced at the very same time than the steel. The steel being unveiled in an edition for the US: This trio was t...

The Rouge is on me

 By: Tyo : May 14th, 2017-07:48
I need to try it first before placing an order.

I love so many of them.

I guess the rouge should be saved for those who already have it-too many Vlads about. The one you don't show-the WG-I've seen and it is a beauty. Of course they all are. And it's nice that some have seconds hands-something I prefer. Tough choices, all des...

Firstly, Thank you Nicholas for this very interesting post.

The pictures are excellent particularly the one showing them all in a row. What a collection that would be but I agree that it's not really practical not least because of the cost. I'm also not keen on very limited editions where, as in the London one, th...

Did you not forget one, Nico?

The Thailand tribute with the yellow dial? Fully agree onnthe difficulty of collecting them all but if you look at the dedication of Purists, I'd not be surprised if one of us had two of each

OK :)

But an essential piece for Blomman's Reverso Swedish flag

Here we agree. [nt]

a different point of view?

My own penchant is for sporty watches that can be dressed up and down. And I guess the Reverso was the "original" sports watch. I like tank style watches, but the few times I have tried on JLC Reversos, they have never seemed right on my wrist. The propor...

Among reversos I feel a stainless grand taille is more versatile than these. However, the red dial is such a pleasure to behold that when I wear it i don't care if it fits what I'm wearing.

Additionally, it has no weight, and I love that. Sometimes I think of it as a black bracelet with a splash of red that tells the time.

What a lovely line-up!

 By: Tiggermelad : May 14th, 2017-19:09
For me this family is the perfect modern rendition of the Reverso. The case is slim and of a size which suits modern taste without being too large, while the manual movement and the design of the dial and hands are firmly anchored in history. The great ch...

Very cool seeing the family shot! ;-)

I choose the Black but the Duo Bleu is very alluring for me but as you rightly point out it would have been nice to see this in a truly ultra thin case ... Also for me there is something so perfect about seeing a Reverso in a rose gold case like that of t...

What a nice line-up !.. In some aspects subtle differences yet appealing diversity !

.. I've only got the TTR 1931, maybe the Seconde Centrale would be a temptation.. But my next target from another series, the recently introduced Tribute Duo with blue Verso side. We'll see ! Thx for sharing this sixtet ! Best, hs

Sorry, let me rephrase myself.

I meant, it surprised me a ton for JLC to discontinue this watch given the reception it continues to receive from watch enthusiasts! The TT1931 is one of my major reasons for my becoming a fan of Reverso. I understand changes happen in underlying philosop...

Hey Sorry. I missed the opportunity to welcome you. I hope to read more from you, now!

 By: amanico : May 29th, 2017-09:35
I meant that JLC made the TT Reverso under different colors. Red, Blue, Black, White, Brown, Green, even Yellow... Maybe it was time to stop and re thinking the product. The Tribute Duo, for example, is magnificent. The Tribute Gyrotourbillon as well, of ...

Thanks for the welcome! I've a personal soft spot for JLC, hope I found the right forum!

And thanks for posting these pictures organizing the collection for us! Helps us organize our thoughts and gather perspective on the TT1931s! I've unknowingly developed a system for wearing watches. The TT1931 I strap on in formal occasions or whenever I'...

You are not alone to do so. We are many here to choose our watch in function of the program of the day. ;)

As for the place, yes, I think you found the right one. We have many collectors, fans, watch lovers of the Watchmaker's watchmakers. Nice shot of a superb Reverso. All the best and I wish you a lot of pleasure reading us... As we will certainly have a lot...

Thanks Nicolas! I go by "John"

I look forward to the occasional discussions about subjective preferences and horological significance!

Amazing line up

and I am so glad that I got one of them. Love the black dial US edition with the special hands. Thanks for this post Nicolas! GEO
