a different point of view?

My own penchant is for sporty watches that can be dressed up and down. And I guess the Reverso was the "original" sports watch. I like tank style watches, but the few times I have tried on JLC Reversos, they have never seemed right on my wrist. The proportions seem a bit off, maybe it is the extra thickness at the lug ends to cradle the center flippable pieces. I like the looks the the center second tribute, but have never seen it in the flesh, and don't know if the extra thickness helps or makes no difference in my perceptions on wrist.
The gamut of colors is interesting, but again, of limited regular utility?
I guess that despite its history, the Reverso now is simply a dress watch. And these colors make it a dandies' dapper offshoot in the evolutionary tree. Hmmm. I have no need for a true dress watch. And I can't afford to have a watch that matches a funky pair of socks, suspenders and or bow ties that I may wear to a party for dandies!!! (Think Tom Wolfe)
Maybe this series is just a niche novelty for those hoping to dot the i's and cross the t's in a collection that looks great in the sock drawer
If money were no object.
What is next? Aubergine? Polka Dots? (Yes, Tom Wolfe would be that target market)? Seersucker? (a summer watch!)
I would rather see JLC produce a new fantastic permanent sporty/casual line than continue with this rainbow of colors. Or at least consult with Mr Wolfe before the next release!!!
