Jaeger-LeCoultre ref E 329 on the wooden beam

Jul 26, 2017,07:28 AM

Friends,

On of the more elegant watches from the late 1950s.
Crosshair dial, automatic, date - super modern at this point in time!

The Jaeger-LeCoultre ref E 329 on the wooden beam.

Elegant but with a quirk - odd dates in white, even dates in black!

Mirror polished bezel and brushed sides.
Just the way I like it!

I love a lot its Dauphine hands and, more particularly, the second tiny one, applied indexes and, last but not least, the black date which offers a great contrast. The double crosshairs is to die for too and... particularly well enhanced on your wooden be...

Looks great I must find where that wooden beam is as it always seems to have stunning watches on it. Think it must be the horological equivalent of the end of the rainbow Cheers JML

Just thought I'd gratuitously post before and after pics side by side (sorry for the bad quality) to show my watch guys skill. Dials are notoriously hard to clean without damaging them..In my experience however localised rust spots and melted rubber watch...
