Smiths was one of the last survivors of the British watch industry, unfortunately not operational any more. They made really great wristwatches into the 1970s, if I'm not mistaken, and they're a vintage brand that is very under appreciated today. Worth looking up!

Not overly impressed with the aesthetics of the movement in the Robin watch. Overall it looks small and plain, with a mostly utilitarian bridge layout. The engraving doesn't change my overall impression of that movement. Cheers, John
