I also enjoyed the rest of the post about the old salt advertisements. Here in the U.K. in my youth we had an advertisement for a product called Sifta Salt which featured a character called "Sifta Sam". Kids used to collect badges and figures. Happy memor...  

Funny, it's so cheap and available to day who would think it was once equal to currency
