The Rue Royale models (more specifically the Power Reserve one) were nice with a beautiful in-house movement. And they offered a great value for money IMHO. Really sad news but not so incomprehensible after a first bankruptcy in 2012 :-( Best wishes Alkir...

But I also do not know anyone who has ever purchased one myself included. I always wondered how brands stay in business when in the watch collecting community I see nobody was ever bought one brand-new. So while tragic, their bankruptcy makes a lot of sen...

Magnus, I communicated with Didier, his wife Marie and son Pierre 5 years ago when they still owned the company about representing the brand here in the US. I bought directly from Marie the Rue Royale pictured... got caught up in US customs because of the...
UPDATE: there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel!
By: Ornatus-Mundi : February 27th, 2017-13:33
The commercial court at Besançon seems to have agreed on a restructuring plan devised by a small number of employees of the brand, which essentailly gives green light for operations to continue. Important aim of the company is to try to pay the watchmaker...

a Rue Royale directly from Marie Leibengut, Didier's wife, in 2011. It got caught up and delayed a month in US Customs because they didn't fill out form correctly for the alligator strap. It's a shame to see another independent go down.
