Value for money ...

 By: AndrewD : May 11th, 2009-02:38
Hi All, I am interested to hear which watch in your collection you feel has provided the greatest value for money . I am not placing any restrictions on this. You can interpret ‘value for money’ in any way you wish and at any price point. While not cheap ...

I guess ALL our watches are value for money, Andrew

 By: amanico : May 11th, 2009-03:34
Because, if they weren't, we wouldn't include them in our collection, don't you think? Well, here I will only focus on 3 watches which are, TO ME, real value for money: 1/ Without any surprise, the JLC MMR: Not only a great, original watch and a bargain, ...

The more.....

 By: MiniCooper : May 12th, 2009-19:30
I see your JLC MMR, the more I admire it I enjoyed your report that you posted on your watch some weeks ago I hope that your are enjoying it cheers

I'm completely crazy about it, Pink Panther

Speedmaster?

 By: vernon : May 11th, 2009-04:19
Andrew, Good post. I'd suggest the Omega Speedmaster as a good candidate and suspect that you may agree judging by your post elsewhere ;o) Whether modern (although the new price has gone up a bit I think) or vintage i think they offer great value. Regards...

I can’t disagree with you, Vernon …

 By: AndrewD : May 11th, 2009-15:07
If one measure of ‘value for money’ is versatility, then the Speedmaster delivers. I kid myself that I can ‘dress down’ the La Tradition and wear it with jeans, but really it is a flashy dress watch. The Speedy is as close to a ...

Breguet for me

 By: AT : May 11th, 2009-18:53
From the AD experience to the details of the watches, I feel that Breguet is the best value for the money. Not talking about resale value here but buying a piece of luxury and beautiful craft.

This may get me thrown off this forum

But tradition, proprietary movement, and so many other things aside, this has been keeping to +-5 seconds a day, has a quite nice fit and finish and is 1/60th the price of the cheapest Breguet. Seagull 2504 movement. A lot of value for the money on a fund...
