That chrono, shades of the 5070...lovely blue dial, yes...although the automatic, modular movement didn't excite me.
The new ones just introduced are pretty but much larger than necessary - look at the size of the movement compared to the case! But then I'm not a big guy and I generally find watches in the 38-40mm range preferable to larger ones.
Now, the 3GB, yes...not achievable for me until I play and win the lottery...but it gives me an idea. What I would love to see is for GP to design and build a non-exotic movement (no tourbillon!) based on an architecture with three bridges. They don't have to be gold...make them in steel...and maybe a lot of expensive hand-finishing could be avoided too (think of the modern finishing style on the 'neo' models). This would, I hope, allow GP to price it accessibly, while also having a differentiator that allows it to charge a premium over a more pedestrian movement. Make it visible through the back and put a simple, beautiful dial - as we all have seen GP is very capable of! - on the front (but please, without any $&(:!ing date wheel). I bet we would all be queuing up to buy it.
