So, I promised something cool

While here in Cannes, I got to have dinner with Mr. Infante (very nice person, btw) and he showed me some nice items that I thought you might like to see.
First is my LUC 150 next to Mr. Scheufele's own prototype no. 1 striking repeater. As has been pointed out in an earlier review, this watch is amazing. The monopusher, the sound...it's an incredible piece. I have some videos but I don't have a YouTube account (yet) so I can't post them at this time, but this is a piece that Chopard is understandably proud of. It's so wearable (especially compared to my "sandwich", which apparently is the popular nickname for the LUC 150)...in fact I would say it's even lighter and thinner than the Lunar One PC.
Here's a closeup of the front,
And of the back. Number P1!
Second, the Chopard PC chrono, this particular version as you can see, has been bling'd the heck out. Not really my style, but in all honesty, I'm kind of coming around to the diamonds in the bezel fashion. I used to have a visceral hatred of it, but now I get it.
I also took videos of this watch, because the movement had some incredible features you should see in action. The ability to reset the seconds hand to 0:00 while the crown is out is awesome and the speed of the flyback mechanism is stunning. I was looking hard at a Lange Datoperpetual before, but after playing with the '03 movement on the Chopard PC Chrono, I think I've found my next watch.
Chopard's customer service was amazing for our entire time in Cannes, and I can't emphasize enough that it's these kinds of experiences that make a person come back to a brand. If you ever get an experience to take a look at their watches, take it!
