My Barenia strap also goes that way
Oct 18, 2016,02:18 AM
That is the way the sides become "vintage" look. While the top surface is self healing, the sides are not.
I don't wear my Barenia strap as I often as yours so it is a little behind in changing.

Congratulations on rescuing the watch if only for a few hours You mentioned the strap is at the "end of life". I wonder? It looks like a Barenia leather strap. If so, it is supposed to become gently "distressed" for the vintage look. Small scratches are s...
From the top...

It still looks great, just that on the sides it looks like it is slowly falling apart. Which makes it look more distressed than the odd self healing scratch. I have to say it is supremely comfortable, which is a big plus, though Thanks for viewing, MTF!

Now I am curious! I guess Chopard will have to wait a bit for the next strap order, then
