Zenith - Please reissue this diver
Team,
Today I bumped on a friend that owns this beauty and we are discussing Zenith and the current product line.
We concluded that Zenith needs a diver and ... why not this one?
Imagine a reissue, 42mm (please!!!), powered by a El Primero 400Z (no date, please - divers don't need date) with this gorgeous funky case.
I will be the first on the boutique line.
What you think?
Cheers,
Nilo

It was not long ago that Zenith had a good diver. 1000m, Helium escapement, El Primero movement, and innovative use of new alloy, Zenithium for the shock absorbing balance bridge, composed of Titanium, Aluminium and Niobium. Only problem with this one was...

This one, from Nataf days, was an extreme design. Not for everyone tastes, me included. What I'm campaign is a more conservative diver that can explore the past with today's technology. The target is our average desk diver that don't plan to carry an anch...

... but having accompanied Zenith a long time before they had the permission to be sold in the United States, I still consider the Nataf era to be the abyss in this great brand's history - designwise, as well as marketing-wise. Just thinking of the brand ...

For sure and the line may be even bigger. One thing that Omega seems to be doing fine (bar the obsession shared with all manufacturers with the huge watches) is to look back to their portfolio and bring updated versions (Bullhead, Speedmaster MK II etc.)....
