Which Pilot - 40mm Type 20 or CP-2

I know I want a Pilot watch and almost certain one from Zenith. If my wrist were larger, I probably would already have a 45mm version. The 45mm and larger cases are just too big for my wrist. While a 45mm model may work (6.75") for some, it feels like a hockey puck on my wrist and I would never get comfortable with that no matter how nice the watch looks. Given that, there are the two models...

The Type 20 - 40mm with the Elite caliber. I like the style and case finish. The dial is also handsome, but may be a bit too embellished with the aged patina (not sure if I like the grey or khaki better). The biggest issue I have with this watch is it may be too petite on my wrist. I feel this genre of watch should be on the larger side of things, albeit not so oversized to look clownish.

The second option is the new CP-2 that was shown in January. I was immediately drawn to the Bronze version, but as I see more photos the steel version is becoming more appealing. I a not sure how the aged steel treatment will hold up over time, though. In terms of size, I have tried on the last year version and it works much better than any 45mm size model. I also like that the lugs taper down, following the contour of my wrist. I really don't need the chrono function, but do appreciate the heritage as well as the slimmer profile versus many other pilot chrono models.

The model that was release last year.  It is not a Flyback, and may be more timeless versus the “aged finishes”.

Anyone else looking at the same models or have thoughts between the models? Any idea when the new CP-2s will start shipping? I keep hoping Zenith will release a 42mm Extra Special, but it never seems to happen.
