Zenith

there is little to add to what my brothers in crime already voiced...

except that technically its is a low risk watch, with a proven and time-tested El Primero movement, with its most prominent secret, the silicon-made 36.000 bph escapement, well exposed. The design off the other elements, the (double-) date window, the minutes counter as well as the moon phase, are excellently conceptualised such as to really balance the dial. As an example, the moonphase has this clam shell pattern which serves as counterpoise for both the open-worked escapement window as well as date & chronograph counter, respectively.

This is an example of careful design executed without ostentatious use of flashy elements.

I cannot help you in respect to the choice of colour. The black dial has some diabolic magic and vivid presence, particularly on the wrist. The silver version however looks quieter, but on the other hand offers more freedom for the light to play.

Tough decision! I guess trying both on at the same time, if possible, would help a lot.

Best,
Magnus
