My thoughts... as an owner of one of the original 10 Defy Labs

It is interesting that you compare the development by Parmagiani, I remember having seeing the prototype of that movement in 2016 and being very impressed with it, especially with the amazing power reserve they were claiming!  Unfortunately Parmigiani were unable to take it past the prototype stage and give a real working movement, I did actually ask this year at SIHH and was told that the development has been shelved for the time being.   There is of course other comparisons like the Girard Perregaux Constant Force Escapement which is out in the market.

Of course Zenith did not continue to develop on the work of Parmagiani or GP, their own oscillator took many many years of development to produce something able to offer such amazing accuracy.  I can confirm that the accuracy they claim is spot on, even after the year I have owed my watch.

I will write more about the new 'Inventor' when I have time after handing the piece side by side.

Cheers
Andrew

I went back and looked again at what I thought I saw and was wrong, it is entirely different. I’m super looking forward to your post though.
