Friends,
Just finished reading a fantastic interview with JC Biver for the WatchTime magazine. Besides revealing insights on Zenith's future direction, he announces the new El Primero movement, capable of timing 1/100 seconds intervals, via a separate escapement for the chronograph beating at 360,000 vph (much like the Tag Heuer Mikrograph from a few years ago). Watches with this movement are expected to be priced at around 11,000 euros. Zenith will resurrect 'Defy' line with the introduction of the new movement.

Bringing back the Defy? :(

I am guessing (hoping!) that the new Defy will have nothing to do with the Defy design of the last decade
I think Defy is a nice name for a watch line for which Zenith probably has exclusive rights to use. It has been buried for long enough for time to heal the old associations and they are bringing it back. Just my two cents...
I read the article as well. Interesting read. Based on what I've heard and now read the concept is like the TAG mikrograph. I am glad to know that the production team has remained under the LVMH umbrella with Guy Semon. They were the ones that
developed the Mikrotimer and Mikrogirder as well. Maybe the Zenith branch will start showing us the kinds of product that TAG was doing on the experimental side.
