Introduction and my new/old VC
Hello everybody, first time poster but long time admirer of the VC Brand.
Wanted to share pics of my new/old 6115. I've been after one of the ultra thin VCs for quite some time however I wanted a vintage piece, white gold or platinum silver dial and wanted the best condition possible. To me the simple size and Base hours/minutes of the 6115 really are all what discreet elegance is about. Many Brands make watches like these and I've had similar models before too. Still my personal goal was to find the thinnest watch possible and as I read the VC with its 1003 caliber represented something special in this area. The 1003 caliber all on its own is a milestone in horology and one that I am very happy to be able to experience.
Here are some pics, from the serial I gather this watch is from the early 60s. I am very happy with its condition considering its age. Definitely I will be getting a strap change and had a question for the cognoscenti about the plexi....is it the original? It seems to be about half of the thickness of the watch and this doesn't make much sense for me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking
Guille

I don't have a calibre 1003 VC, but definitely want one. This simple and ultra-thin movement is what got me interested in VC in the first place. I really like your example. Discreet enough for regular wear, yet absolutely stunning if someone cares to take...
