Questions about Malte Large Calendar...
Hi, all,
I have been recently putting my eyes on Malte Large Calendar. It seems to me a very beautiful watch, above all, its large numbers and large date in double windows atract me the most from being functional and convenient.And I like more its WG version, both black or silver dial.
So I did a little homework, and here are the results, a kind of abstract from internet resourse and printed catalogues:
Malte Large Calendar's technical specifications:
1) Movement: Mechanical Automatic , VC Caliber 1204; 29 jewels, power reserve 65 hours; fine finishing with Cotes de Geneve; official chronometer with C.O.S.C. test certificate
2) Functions: hours, minutes, sweep seconds; large date;
3) Case: 18K WG or YG, diameter 38.5mm, height 9.5mm; domed sapphire crystal; screw-on back with sapphire crystal exhibition window; water resistant to 3 atm (30 M);

I have learnt that VC Cal. 1204 is based on Frederic Piguet 1150. So ...

My questions are quite simple:
1) Anybody around here has first hand experience in dealing with this model?
2) Is it a regardedly common watch, in horological terms, since in this Forum I found only sporadic comments about Malte Large Calendar?
3) How about VC Movement 1204? I am not aware of it being used in other VC models.
4) And how about Piguet 1150?
