For me when VC tries to gp main stream they loose their way and to tell you the truth there are not that many current models which I would like to own.
The fact that they do not have an instantly recognisable model line a Royal Oak or Lange 1 could be detrimental to their image but on the other hand they do not depend only on one product, imagine what would happen to AP or Lange if suddenly consumers got tires of the RO or L1!!
VC should do wht it does best and that is continue creating original pieces.
On another note Patek doesn't have a model whick maks it truly and uniquely PP (and no the Calatrava is not easily recognisable as a PP) and it doesn't seem to have a negative effect on the brand.
