Totally agree about the beauty and uniqueness of this watch - I have one!

Hi blomman:
Mine is yellow gold, inherited from my father-in-law. It is my way of carrying his memory with me on my wrist.
I prefer watches that I don't see often and this one is a great conversation piece too. The design, guilloche dial (mesmerizing and dances in the sunlight) and the outstandingly decorated movement complement the jump hour design to make this watch noteworthy. And as the previous post noted, I recently wore it to the Metropolitan Opera in NYC; very appropriate!
My local AD who has auctioned watches had seen much of my collection over the past couple years, but not this one. He recently showed me the auction listing of a Jaeger Tourbillon that he offered me a good deal on but I passed. When I showed up in the store with the Salterello, his comment was j"now this is a piece you could do well with at the auction!" I plan to hold mine and pass it along to one of my sons.
I am so thrilled to read this thread. I understand this design isn't everybody's cup of tea but when you have, hold and wear it on your wrist it makes quite a statement!
Thanks, blomman!
Any chance for a get-together of Salterello's in NYC?? That would be fun!!
I will post a wrist shot as soon as I figure out how to do it...
