My old friend the Acqua Marine Perpetual

I've decided this summer will be spent revisting old friends. First visit is to the Acqua Perpetual from 2000. I first saw this watch at Cellini in NYC and it was love at first sight. I'd never seen a blue dial like this one. Lacquer over guilloche. Plus a perpetual calendar. And a WR of 200 meters. Then came lunch with a friend in 2002 and he was wearing his. At the end of lunch, he said, you stared at my watch the entire meal. I admiited that I was in deep lust over his U-N. Later that year, I finally acquired mine. Even though it is "small" at 42mm, it is still one of my top 2 blue dials in my collection. (The other being the Jaquet Droz Paillonnee).
Best,
Larry
