Ulysse Nardin

Waiting for the postman today.

Back in the 80's I used to admire my friends Berlin I and when the new version came out, which I like even better, I knew that one day, I would have a Berlin II. Between getting busy and kids etc..,you know the story... In the mean time I did get a Maxi Marine Chrono and a gorgeus Michelangelo UTC Dual Time with a deep purple dial. I even picked up a 1940's rose gold doctor's chrono for my collection, but I never did get my Berlin. But the other day I was brwosing and found one with a SS bracelet and at a price I couldn't pass up and (supposedly anyway) it is in absoulutely pristine condition and so it is on it's way as I write this to it's new home in Ohio. I will post photos when it arrives, perhaps in the company of it's newer brothers in the winder box.

I have been reading again about the Berlin and there does not seem to be a whole lot of info on the model either here or anywhere for that matter. Dave G. or maybe Marcus posted some really nice photos on this site a while back but with scant info. I beleive both the I and II were somewhat limited editions however UN does not seem to publish that kind of info anywhere that I am aware of and I do not know of any sites (like the Panerai lovers have) where production numbers are mentioned. This one is # 098. Anyway, if anyone has some insight there I would be appreciative.

Go Tribe!

Fred
