I'm Freaking Out Too (but in a good way!!)
I've been enjoying my new arrival immensely the past few weeks. I put the "blame" on MichaelC and his joyous enthusiasm for his Freak Black Out. The Freak was always a watch on my radar, but Michael's passion for the piece was contagious and helped drive it to the top of my hit list.
I decided a Freak would be up next right after my last acquisition, so I knew I had a while to contemplate which exact model as I rebuilt the watch funds. I always love the warmth of rose gold and I pretty quickly narrowed it to two - the Freak Cruiser and the Phantom. It was a really hard decision! I absolutely love the bridge work and anchor design on the Cruiser, and the dial "breathes" beautifully. But the Freak is a crazy watch and in the end I decided I had to go with the craziest version, the Phantom. It's stunning in person and the depth through the dial is awesome.
So now I have quite a while to enjoy my Freak while I save up for a Jaeger 1833 Minute Repeater. Thanks Nico, that one is on you, LOL
