UN as day-to-day watch
Jul 25, 2010,13:21 PM
Hi,
I am new here and this is my first message. I haven't had a nice mechanical watch since my last one was stolen in 1993 and am just thinking of buying again. I have a preference for watches with Arabic numerals and do like the look of the Maxi Marine Chronometer. My whole family likes the water and my children spent the week before last dinghy sailing followed by a week long family beach holiday that mainly involved surfing and fishing. Of course, I always get involved in some way or another and end up spending a lot of time in the water. The watch states that it is water proof to 200 m so I don't have to worry about water ingress but would you recommend using a UN watch as a day-to-day watch in this sort of environment or should I have a fun watch as well as a nice watch? I would be very interested to hear other owners thoughts on this?
Regards,
Peter

for you. As Marcus has already suggested, I highly recommend UN's rubber strap for day-to-day wear or during any aquatic activities. Once sized properly (you have to cut the rubber strap to do so), the strap wears extremely comfortably with the UN deploya...
