Happy Chinese New Year!

 

For Purists celebrating Chinese/Lunar New Year, how are you spending the next couple days celebrating? My family & I visited Las Vegas this weekend and stayed at the Bellagio. The flower conservatory is beautifully decorated with Chinese New Year themes. Here are a few pics.

Attempted this sticky sweet treat for the first time this year. Can you believe the ingredients only consist of sugar, glutinous rice flour and water? Wanted to share it. Happy New Year to everyone!...

every chinese new year. This year I was fortunate enough to be home for the feast. My dad made scallops, shrimp and sea cucumber, sticky rice cake with pork, whole steamed fish, soy sauce chicken, and of course the sweet new years cake. When I was little ...
