This is very bad news...
I am a Scot and when I visit home I usually take a bottle or two of Japanese whisky (it used to be Scottish whisky - it's less expensive here than it is there). My father delighted in giving good Japanese stuff to whisky snobs, The cat's out of the bag now, rumbled.
Lexus, now whisky and perhaps Grand Seiko next?

If the Scottish whisky industry reacts similar to the Swiss watch industry ...
... then taste rankings like these would simply be discontinued, like the observatory competitions, once the Japanese watches started to win them. Regards, Marcus
