Unfortunately, I noticed some sentences were abruptly cut, most likely due to user error on my part.  I've been playing with HTML to post rather than the more conventional (but simpler) method that the forum allows.  Its a pity that London only offers expensive good food.  I think Parisians eat very well but Florentines eat very well for cheaper smile

Eating Carnivorously in Paris - Part 2: La Rôtisserie du Beaujolais Like other Europeans, dinner dining is a big affair for the Parisians. La Rôtisserie du Beaujolais is one of those places that locals call their dining room. Situated on right on the Sein...

Hello Gaz! Your part 2 looks as great as Part 1! The rib eye seems delicious as does the onion and leek dish. How did you discover such wonderful places in Paris? -MW

Firstly, it helps that my wife speaks French. Secondly, as any good general will tell you, a successful assault relies of good intel. When in Paris, I choose to stay at smaller, three star hotels that are located conveniently enough to get to but far enou...

Hello Gaz, We had outstanding meals while in Paris except for this one bistro. It was very early Saturday morning and many places were closed so we found a bistro and gave it a shot. It was the only disappointing meal of the trip, but I guess to appreciat...

I was lucky enough to be able to eat here without reservation, but the place becomes very quickly corwdy and very noisy... The main issue with this Restaurant, because the food is excellent, indeed, so frenchy, as well as the ambiance. Best, Nicolas

Thanks for sharing photos of your experience. I love to venture forth into the less touristy areas of any cities I visit, because those little side trips often result in great eating (for less money) than hitting all the big tourist spots. Looks like you ...

and they serve as a good training ground to know what to avoid in the future But without wanting to sound selfish, some of these places are best kept a secret. Gaz

Keep the reports coming, Gaz. I hung on every word and plate. Thanks for posting the menu as well. Happy memories of dining in Paris. After the culinary desert of London for a week before arriving in La Ville-Lumière , the contrast was, well, a contrast. ...

Thanks Andrew...

Thanks Gaz, I thought it was my viewer, but I got the gist of your post. My wife is the one in the family who speaks French; she never told me if the chefs flirted with her or not! I didn’t mean to imply there was no good food in London, just that w...
