 By: DRMW : December 29th, 2015-23:19
Happy holidays all! Normally during the Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Year season we do a family gathering and usually a feast. I love to eat but can't cook my way out of a paper bag. However, the things I can do are Prime Rib and a whole Turkey. The turkey...

Looking at the first photo, I misjudged the scale

and mistook the oven as something used for watch spa. Haha! Read the text and saw the other photos, then I realized it's for something delicious! ^_^ It's almost dinner time here in Taiwan; your photo made me feel hungry...

I thought it was one of those ultrasonic cleaners too

Perhaps you can throw in a watch too; would make the leather extra-tasty. Regards, skyeriding

When we appreciate a watch...

We usually do it with our four senses. Sight, hearing, touch, and smell. For instance - the way light works on a timepiece, the sound of the ticking, the feel of the pusher on a chronograph, and the smell of the leather. The fifth one - taste, tends to ge...

Hope all is well in Taiwan! The next Thanksgiving turkey we make, I'll toss in my PuristS/St. Gallen ABR watch into it and see what happens. It's taken a lot of abuse over the years and still look and holds up great. -MW

Actually...

You can do the same in the oven with a special rack. My Thanksgiving turkey took two hours in the oven on 450. Half-way through, it's advised to cover the wings and drumsticks to prevent burning. The high temp sears the skin, holding in the moisture. Inte...

what is this wizardry you speak of?

At first I thought it was an industrially sized deep frier

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-02:31
But it seems it is done completely without oil. Impressive gadget you have there! To many tasty turkeys in 2016!

I thought so too...

 By: DRMW : December 30th, 2015-15:21
When they brought it out, I thought it was one of those oil filled deep fryers. The crazy thing is the top cover thing...it looks like a wire cover to protect things from falling into the cooker but it actually changes the way it cooks the protein. I real...

I certainly do :)

 By: cazalea : December 30th, 2015-08:10
If so, mine is After Nicolas's JLC watch survived 5 position rotating test, and the speed test, he checked to see if his watch kept time at "temperatures" ...

LOL - part of the new COSC testing procedures

 By: KMII : December 30th, 2015-11:11

I also got the scale wrong at first....

 By: Andy : December 31st, 2015-23:53
I just cook mine in the oven....high at first to sear it then reduce the heat for 2-3 hours depending on size and stick a temperature probe in the leg to ensure its done at the end, over 78 degrees C if memory serves. This looks like a fun gadget though. ...

The deep fry method is very good but you got to use all that cooking oil and you have to figure out what to do with it afterwards. Can be dangerous too, people have tipped it over or dropped a frozen turkey into it and it starts splashing all over the pla...

Maybe not over here...
