Out and About Again, Part 1

There are two halves of our walk today — onshore with architecture, bees, birds and such, then shoreline with boats, birds and babes (that last bit isn’t strictly true but it sounds better)…

We went down some stairs looking for a good sunrise vantage point.

We found a 911 instead, but no sun.

So back up we went.

Nice houses here.

A small rental available, if you are looking.

This one was very distressing. It used to be totally covered by that tree...

Here’s how it looked 18 months ago!

We finally found the view spot but the clouds overwhelmed the sun.

For the second time in less than a month and never before in my life, we saw a cat taking a walk. In this case, no leash on the cat but a leash on the dog. The owner there said yes, the cat comes along.

Dangerous curb is far too high when you are focused on taking pictures...

Lots of variety in the homes. We looked at some of these 30 years ago; probably could have bought one then but we are used to our Wild Kingdom and this is a bit more city than we wanted.

These Pincushion flowers are amazing!

What?!

Unreal how tall these cactus are, and in bloom too!

Plenty of clean little houses to offset the large and not-so-clean houses! This is a 100-year-old neighborhood.

We noticed one single grapevine spanned the frontage of this lot:

Bees hard at work gathering the nectar and dew off this stalk.

I think that’s enough, so let’s mosey down to the harbor’s edge and see what’s happening there.

Please join us for part 2.
