Aquatic Chaos today

It seemed so peaceful when we arrived on the island...

Then I took a closer look with the Sony Zoom. Adult kayak class is starting.

Then a Hobie pedal craft zipped by,

followed by 3 guys busy reading their phones on the way to/from fishing.

A working boat intersects a rowing shell followed by its coach in an inflatable.

Next an 8-seater with coxswain.

Then two ladies in a shell zoomed into the fracas

and had to “slam on the brakes” as there was no way to get through

Meanwhile across the bay, yet another group of kids were launching themselves into the same narrow gap of water.

While behind us some tourists fought the wind as they brought the largest inflatable swim float I’ve seen down to the water.

This looks like a relaxing summer day (for the parents at home in the sunshine with a cold beer)!

Meanwhile Granddad has the pontoon boat on a plane

while I bring the most inappropriate watch possible to the beach.

As we left the water we saw plenty of other sights, including this glowing Nissan

Psychedelic school bus / camper van

Rugged Mohave Jeep

Some sporty vehicles

A couple tall birds,

and some squatty ducks.

A fish that was too big for any of the birds to eat.

And one of our pet lizards greeted us when we arrived at home.

That’s a summers’ day in Mission Bay.

Time for a nap.
