Imho we have been conditioned to accept long servicing times from the manufactures which sometimes are understandable and justified but other times can be completely avoided. I am currently experiencing a not so pleasant encounter where the watch being serviced has spent a long time at places where they could have been totally avoided should the organization took more initiative to monitor and expedite the process. I stepped in myself yesterday through my own connections and the process started moving again on the same day, and I am sure had the right person been following up on the case closely and escalated the issue they would have been able to solve it quickly. Now I will observe whether they will closely follow up on the case or whether they will again wait for my call to before checking on the status.
