I’ve always had an appreciation for TAG Heuer’s Link series. Whereas every brand strives to make a bracelet that is unique, three decades ago, TAG Heuer succeeded with the Link.

The original link bracelets had beautifully flowing, rounded edges that look almost organic. Unfortunately, over the decades, this design began to look dated.
Last year, TAG Heuer gave us a taste of things to come when they released the new Lady Link. Foreshadowing the Link for men, the ladies’ version had redesigned “S-links” that brought it into the 21st century.

Fast forward to Baselworld 2017, where TAG Heuer released a Link series for men. The new links have a brushed surfaces, straightened lines and polished, beveled edges.
The new bracelet makes for a clean, edgy bracelet with lots of character.
Whereas the case and dial visually dominate typical watch designs, TAG Heuer turns the tables with the new Links. The bracelet oozes personality while complimenting the classic case and clean, elegant dial.
At 41mm, the new pieces are the perfect size to play “dress up,” yet remain a formidable daily driver.

Press Release: TAG Heuer Steel Link for men Calibre 5
The famous Link is celebrating its 30th birthday with a masterful makeover!
A noticeably larger diameter (41 mm), an understated contemporary design, halfway between a round and cushion shape, all while retaining its signature: the iconic bracelet with its S-shaped links.
Now, after the successful relaunch in 2016 of the Link for women, TAG Heuer’s Link collection is getting a makeover for its 30th birthday with a new version exclusively for men: the new Link for men.
Link. A design that dates back to 1987. Its defining feature is the immediately recognisable bracelet, boasting the signature S-shaped links. It is both an iconic design and a standard bearer in terms of ergonomics and wearer comfort. Each link is rounded on the top, bottom and sides for an exceptionally smooth feel on the wrist.
Made entirely of steel, the bracelet is totally integrated into the case, making horns superfluous, and providing a more fluid and ergonomic design. The finishes are sophisticated, with a combination of polished and brushed finishes on the case and bracelet. With a diameter of 41 mm, the silver-plated open dial allows for maximum readability, while the bezel features two components, combining two designs: a cushion base and an overlaid ring. Thanks to its four subtle corners, the case shape lies between round and cushion, giving it a softer, more understated design.
This model houses an automatic Calibre 5 movement visible through a sapphire case-back, and offers some of the best value for money on today's market, much to the delight of watch collectors. The Link for men is available with three dial variations: black, silver-plated and blue sunray.
