TAG Heuer

Last night, I took some photos of the Hodinkee Limited Edition Skipper, from June 2017. This was a limited edition of 125 watches, that was based on the very first Skipper from 1968. With the LE, TAG Heuer took some liberties, which seem appropriate to me...  

I like it a lot. One day I must get a funky coloured piece like this.

In the meantime... ...  

So many of these vintage Skipperreras have heavy damage to the blue paint . . . this one seems to be a survivor!!

. . . and with the asking prices of the original Skipperreras ranging from $60,000 to $110,000 in today's market, the Hodinkee Limited Edition offers in interesting alternative to get the colors of the original at a more reasonable price.
