Hero, history and Heuer.
Yesterday, America and the world lost one of its great heroes. Warrior, explorer and statesman, Col. John Glenn represents the best of mankind. He led, he fought, he inspired. He will be sorely missed by all of us who look to the heavens in awe and wonderment.
I’m placing this small tribute in the TAG Heuer forum because those who know and appreciate the history of the brand are already aware of his contribution and his legacy.
For now, Godspeed rocket man, and thank you.

showed what kind of person he was. What a loss for the United States and the world.
It's amazing to think...
All these people from that era are getting on in age now when such amazing things were done. I wonder who in 40 years will pass away after being such a pioneer and being remembered in such a way? All these things were firsts and pushing mankind into space...

As long as we have media elevating the Kardashians or NBA players to deity, the true heroes of today will never be recognized or appreciated by the masses. I've no doubt, there are many out there. Many of them, but none that carry the courage or integrity...
I've seen the Heuer
associated with Col Glenn but have or had no idea what he wore. Col Glenn, Neil Armstrong, steve McQueen, Joachim Rindt and others would have all have been the same people if they had worn a whatever. It's nice that people come to understand who they were...
